Introduction to the Rome Project-Based Learning Unit
Project-based learning is an idea that revolves around the following quote, "Those who do the most, learn the most". After receiving five days of direct instruction where we will discuss the breadth of information about the Roman Empire, students will be responsible for digging deeper into specific elements of the information through several project choices; creating their own depth of knowledge.
There are several important parts to the next few weeks of learning. It is our hope that students will use this unit not only to master content information concerning the ancient Roman Empire, but to help their fellow students revise their work throughout the learning process.

Why provide everything to students and parents?
Every aspect of the Roman Empire PBL are placed on this website to provide students and parents transparency in the learning process. Because all information is here and has been communicated to students, they are directly responsible for their work. This packet outlines the mandatory work, optional student projects (PBL's) and a signature page that includes an area to indicate which project(s) a student will complete. if there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Holman, Mr. Pennington or Mrs. Diehm.
