Asking Better Questions

9/1/2010

Still hot in the building, almost too hot to teach or learn..but we got through!  Today we finished up talking about open and closed questioning. Students practiced writing questions and began to work on tonight's homework.  If students do not write all 20 questions, it's okay.  We will generate a huge and helpful list on the board tomorrow to help all students be successful.

Homework tonight is to develop a list of 10 closed and 10 open questions to ask in order to find out information about when your parents were in 7th grade.  Students do not need to get the questions answered, just think uo the questions and we will discuss them tomorrow.
