1. The Mongols conquered and united most of present day China and Korea for approximately 80 years during the 13th and 14th centuries. This dynasty strengthened trade in China by exporting porcelain and silk.
2. Feudalism developed as a political system based on small local units controlled by lords bound by an oath of loyalty to a Monarch. The decline of feudalism in Europe resulted from interactions between the Muslim world and the European states. These interactions influenced the rise of new ideas and institutions. |
