Today we started to examine the idea of leadership. I told students that leadership in my class in not just a goal or requirement , but it is expected; everyday. We watched a TEDTalk by Drew Dudley about "Lollipop Moments". We then discussed how we can be leaders, leaders that have helped us and how to make CMS (and class) a better place that we all want to be.
Just like yesterday, students written responses and conversation was inspiring. Students talked about helping each other, communicating and leaving drama at the door! My goal is to recognize as many lollipop moments as I can throughout the year. I also encourage my students to share lollipop moments with me when they see them; or if they are creating them. We all have a voice and that voice matters!
