Leaving Positive Digital Footprints Worth Following:

Picture
Today we watched several videos: "Did You Know 3.0/4.0", and "Digital Footprints".  We also read the user agreement from FaceBook.  As digital citizens and students you have a responsibility to use technology to add positive digital content to share with the world.
Now that we have discussed what it means to be a digital citizen and have seen lots of statistics concerning how technology truly impacts our world, please take some time to find videos, links, websites, or just leave a comment about digital citizenship/digital footprints/online ethics, on the interactive wall below.

I was really surprised when we learned about how much of an impact your digital footprint is when you apply for a job.

I am amazed when you post something on Facebook, that it will stay there for ever! Except we have to change the music on the video.

I think that it is interesting that facebook owns your photos, and can sell them to anyone or any buisness.

I do not like the idea of people being able to see my photo, name, and city on facebook. Its very dagerous to have that information put out for the public.
Also the idea of everything i do on the internet can be monitored frusturates me because everything can now be critisised, stolen (Identity Theft), and used against me by false acounts if my information is changed.

It really shocked me when I learned how many more people China and India have compared to the US.

I did not know that if you do something bad in your early life it affects your chance for other jobs.

I think we should be more careful of what we put on Facebook because they own it and can use it however they want to.

I find it interesting how Facebook owns everything you ever do within the site. They don't really need to have that long page of agreements, just to say that they own everything you do. I think they do that because if everyone realized that before they made an account, I don't think as many people would actually make it. I know I wouldn't have. It's almost a good thing that employers can find every post you've posted. Then they know if you are trustworthy and good for the job. It also makes us more aware of what we say, do, and look at online. It can also maybe avoid cyber bullying and arguments that are caused because of something someone posted online.

I think that since we learned and were educated on this topic of digital footprints, we have no excuse to leave a bad legacy behind. Be careful of what we say online!

I thought it was interesting to find out how what we do on social media sites can effect us. After we learned that, I went through ALL of my posts to see what I can change about what I do online. THANKS MR. HOLMAN!
